I have 3 old Kenmore dehumidifiers for my basement. Those old Kenmores are like tanks, however the weak part is the internal humidistat switch which is the weak part in the unit and no longer available or repairable. When the switch fails, the dehumidifier stays in the "on" and will not cycle to the "off" position. The Briidea Dehumidistat and Thermostat Control unit is just what I needed. Connecting it to the plug of my failed dehumidifier works well by cycling on and off maintaining the desired humidity levels. If either one of my two remaining dehumidifiers fail, I will order another Briidea unit rather that a new dehumidifier. (Over the years I had purchased 3 dehumidfiers that all failed after a few years of use. Those old Kenmores just keep running and running.)
So far so good, the sensor seems to work well and haven't had any issues with the device.
